冰糖葫芦(Bing Tang Hu Lu)/Candied Haw in a Stick

冰糖葫芦(Bing Tang Hu Lu)/Candied Haw in a Stick
This was taken in 01/10/2010 at the snack street 王府井(Wang Fu Jing) in Beijing. This entire is filled with stalls selling popular Chinese street food.

Bing Tang Hu Lu translates to 'Candied Haw in a Stick', it is when the fruit, Hawthorn, is dipped in a coating of caramelised sugar. However nowadays, many different fruits are also used as seen in the picture above. This is a favourite snack for many Chinese natives and a must try when going to Beijing!
